KABUL: The World Health Organization (WHO) says nearly 43,000 Palestinians have suffered severe bone injuries since 2023 as a result of Israeli attacks, leaving many with permanent disabilities.
According to the organization, nearly one quarter of those left with long-term disabilities are children, with the number estimated at around 10,000.
The WHO called for the urgent delivery of rehabilitation equipment, prosthetic limbs, assistive devices, and essential medicines to Gaza.
Recent reports from Gaza indicate that around 73,000 people have been martyred and more than 172,000 wounded during the ongoing conflict by Zionist Israeli forces.
