KABUL: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has recently said the world is on the verge of a new global order.
linking recent international developments to what he described as a historic geopolitical transformation.
In remarks posted Saturday night on X, Ghalibaf referenced comments by Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying that unprecedented global changes are unfolding at an accelerated pace.
The Iranian parliament speaker said the “70-day resistance” of the Iranian people had further accelerated what he called the emergence of a new world order.
Quoting Xi, Ghalibaf wrote: “Changes unseen in the past century are rapidly taking place across the world.”
He also asserted that “the future belongs to the Global South,” a political and economic term commonly used to describe non-Western and developing countries seeking greater influence in opposition to Western powers.
