KABUL: The United Arab Emirates has reported drone attacks on its territory, saying the incident caused a fire at a nuclear facility, amid rising regional tensions following stalled talks between the United States and Iran.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia announced that its air defense systems detected and intercepted three drones in the kingdom’s airspace.
The developments come after negotiations between Washington and Tehran reportedly ended without a breakthrough, while U.S. President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning to Iran.
Writing on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said: “The clock is ticking for Iran, and it must act quickly.” He later shared several additional posts regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the possibility of further conflict in the region.
No group or country has claimed responsibility for the reported drone attacks.
