KABUL: A phone conversation between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu over Iran was reportedly “tense and heated,” leaving the Israeli prime minister “deeply frustrated,” according to international media reports.
U.S.-based outlet Axios reported that Netanyahu remains skeptical about ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States and is pushing for renewed military action aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities.
However, the report said Trump believes there is still a possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran, though he remains prepared to resume military operations if talks fail.
The reported disagreement highlights growing differences between Washington and Tel Aviv over how to deal with Iran amid ongoing regional tensions and diplomatic efforts.
