Indian Envoy to UN says world has not forgotten Pakistan’s deadly airstrike on Kabul

KABUL: India’s representative at the United Nations, Parvathaneni Harish said the world has not forgotten Pakistan’s deadly airstrike on a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul during the holy month of Ramadan earlier this year.
Speaking at a United Nations meeting, Harish cited figures attributed to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, saying 750 civilian casualty incidents linked to Pakistan’s military actions were recorded in Afghanistan during the first three months of 2026, with many reportedly resulting from airstrikes.
The Indian envoy also accused Pakistan of ignoring calls by the UN Secretary-General to uphold international commitments regarding the protection of civilians and to refrain from the forced deportation of Afghan refugees.
Tensions between India and Pakistan over regional security and Afghanistan-related issues have remained high in recent months.
