KABUL: Esmaeil Baghaei, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Iran is currently focused on ending the conflict and is not engaged in any discussions regarding the details of its nuclear program.
Baghaei stressed that no final understanding or agreement has been reached with the United States and described reports about a potential deal as inaccurate.
Referring to U.S. claims of a “naval blockade,” he said the measure was unlawful from the outset, arguing that it violated the ceasefire and interfered with freedom of maritime navigation.
The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman added that Tehran will judge the other side by its actions and will assess whether commitments are genuinely honored or merely public statements.
He also criticized recent remarks by Western countries, saying Iran has long opposed the language of pressure and dictates and that no Western government should use commanding language toward the Islamic Republic.
