KABUL: Esmaeil Baghaei has described the recent statement by the European Union regarding Iran’s response to the United States as inaccurate and irresponsible.
Baghaei said the European Union had adopted what he called an inappropriate and irresponsible position on humanitarian and moral standards, stressing that Iran has the right to defend itself under international law.
His remarks came after the European Union accused Iran of taking military action against regional countries during the conflict.
Baghaei rejected the accusation, claiming that military bases in some regional states were used during aggression against Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also said that countries should not allow their territory to be used by any party for actions against other nations.
