KABUL: The U.S. military says Iran launched missiles toward Bahrain, Kuwait, and other regional targets, but the attacks were either intercepted or failed to reach their intended destinations.
According to reports citing the United States Central Command, U.S. forces responded by carrying out strikes against selected military targets on Qeshm Island.
Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran have yet to produce a breakthrough, with no clear signs of easing tensions between the two countries.
The developments come as security conditions in the Gulf region remain tense. Increased military activity in Gulf waters in recent months has heightened concerns about the possibility of a broader regional conflict.
