Iran warns: If strikes on Beirut continue, Tehran will not remain silent

KABUL: Iran says it launched ballistic missiles at Israel’s northern areas in response to Israeli strikes on southern parts of Beirut and warned that Tehran will not stay silent if attacks on Beirut continue.
According to reports, the missile strikes followed Israeli forces targeting Hezbollah-related positions in southern Beirut.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said he is not pleased with the latest Israeli strikes on Beirut, calling the actions inconsistent with the spirit of a ceasefire between Tehran and Washington.
Trump also urged Iran to stop the missile attacks and return to the negotiating table to resolve the crisis.
Recent attacks by both sides have heightened concerns about the security situation in the region.
