Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives in Pyongyang for two-day visit

KABUL: Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Pyongyang on a two-day official visit, where he was welcomed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
According to international media reports, Xi said that relations between China and North Korea are at a “new historical starting point” and emphasized that cooperation between the two countries will expand across all sectors. He also reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
Xi’s visit comes at the official invitation of Kim Jong Un and marks his first trip to North Korea in seven years.
