Vance says Iran deal could take a week or several months

KABUL: U.S. Vice President JD Vance has said that a potential agreement with Iran could be reached within the next week or may take several months to finalize.

Speaking to the media, Vance said the United States is still working toward an agreement that would result in the long-term suspension of Iran’s nuclear program.

He added that Washington has moved closer to securing such a deal with Tehran.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi warned that if the United States wants to ensure its safety, it should leave the region.

Araghchi made the remarks following reported U.S. airstrikes on Iran overnight, stating that Iran’s armed forces are prepared to deliver an unprecedented response to any attack.
