KABUL: The head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, Sayed Karim Hashemi, met with a delegation from the Iran–Afghanistan Joint Chamber and Iran’s ambassador in Kabul to discuss expanding trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Hashemi said Afghanistan offers favorable conditions for Iranian traders and investors due to its abundant natural resources, strategic transit location, and broad investment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Alireza Bigdeli, described the visit of the Iranian business delegation to Kabul as a sign of Tehran’s serious commitment to strengthening economic ties and emphasized continued cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Siadat said the primary objective of the delegation’s visit was to boost Afghanistan’s exports to Iran. He identified cotton, meat, and mineral resources among Afghanistan’s key export commodities to the Iranian market.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of expanding commercial relations, increasing exports, and making more effective use of the two countries’ economic potential through closer cooperation. Over 160 declassified UAP files released in United States
