KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has announced that nearly 800 Afghan migrants were released from Pakistani jails and returned to Afghanistan over the past week.
According to a statement from the ministry, 230 individuals re-entered the country through the Torkham Border Crossing in Nangarhar, while another 533 returned via the Spin Boldak Border Crossing in Kandahar.
Officials said the individuals had been detained for varying periods due to a lack of valid residency documents.
The ministry added that after being registered and receiving assistance, the returnees were transported to their home provinces.
