Inter-Ministerial Committee approves plan for construction of six-story commercial market in Kabul

KABUL: The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced that the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee has approved, in principle, a proposal to construct a six-story commercial market in Kabul’s District 1, with an investment of approximately 118 million Afghanis from the private sector.

According to the proposal, the commercial complex will provide the necessary facilities and infrastructure to support a wide range of business activities.

During the meeting, proposals for the construction of additional commercial markets in Kabul’s District 5 and in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, were also reviewed. These projects have been referred to the relevant ministries for further technical assessment and evaluation.
