Iran-U.S. indirect talks end without significant progress toward lasting agreement

KABUL: The latest round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States has concluded without any significant breakthrough toward a permanent agreement or lasting peace between the two sides.
According to Reuters, the talks largely focused on issues that had been considered resolved following the announcement of a temporary understanding reached two weeks earlier. However, no new agreement was achieved on the major outstanding disputes.
Despite the lack of substantial progress, both parties expressed a willingness to continue negotiations. Nevertheless, no meaningful advances were reported regarding a long-term agreement or the resolution of the remaining differences.
The outcome underscores the continuing challenges facing diplomatic efforts to reach a comprehensive and lasting settlement between Tehran and Washington.
