Afghan and Iranian officials discuss challenges facing Afghan migrants

KABUL: Mawlavi Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, the acting head of the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tehran, has held talks with Jafar Montazeri, the head of Iran’s Supreme Court.

According to the Afghan Embassy in Iran, the two sides discussed issues affecting Afghan migrants, including the situation of Afghan prisoners and the freezing of bank accounts belonging to Afghan traders.

The discussions also focused on expanding bilateral relations and addressing the concerns and challenges faced by Afghan citizens residing in Iran.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination to resolve issues affecting the Afghan community in Iran.
