KABUL: Veteran Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has died at the age of 71 following a brief and sudden illness.
Graham served as chairman of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee and was widely regarded as one of the Republican Party’s most influential voices on foreign policy and national defense.
He was also seeking a fifth term in the U.S. Senate in this year’s elections.
