KABUL: Afghanistan’s Standards and Quality Authority (ASQA), said in a statement that 42.83 metric tons of low-quality construction materials have been returned to the exporting country through the Nimroz border crossing.
According to the statement, the quality control and inspection of imported goods continue regularly at all border crossings across the country.
It warned that no tolerance will be shown toward the import of low-quality goods that pose risks to public safety and quality standards.
The National Standards and Quality Authority has previously reported the return of various low-quality imports at Afghanistan’s border crossings and has urged traders to import only goods that comply with national quality standards.
