Afghanistan, Iran call for expanded economic cooperation

KABUL: Kamaluddin Tawhid, head of the Afghanistan–Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce, has called for expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran during the 10th Conference on Economic Cooperation Development in Iran’s Kerman Province.
According to a statement from the Afghanistan–Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce, Tawhid also urged both sides to simplify visa procedures and cross-border travel for businesspeople, support joint investment projects, promote the transfer of technical expertise, and address the challenges faced by Afghan traders in Kerman.
He also invited Iranian investors to visit Afghanistan to explore investment opportunities and strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
