KABUL: Iran has executed two men convicted of spying for Israel and transferring information related to the country’s military and security facilities, according to Iranian state media.
The reports identified the men as Omid Behzad and Pouria Safvat, alleging that during the holy month of Ramadan and the 12-day conflict, they sent the locations, images, and other information about Iranian military and security sites to officers of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, and its affiliated communication channels.
Iranian authorities claimed the two men provided significant assistance to Israeli intelligence by supplying information that helped it identify potential targets.
Iranian media also published what they said was one of the messages sent by one of the convicted men to Mossad, stating: “I also have a video from this location showing drones or warplanes being fired upon, but I can’t send the video because the internet connection is weak.”
