Iranian claims 500 U.S. troops killed in recent clashes

KABUL: Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, has claimed that around 500 U.S. military personnel were killed and many more were wounded during the recent conflicts between Iran and the United States.
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Rezaei made the remarks during a televised interview on Monday night.
Rezaei said Iran’s assessments indicate that about 500 American service members were killed in Iranian attacks, while many others were injured. He also dismissed U.S. figures reporting 650 killed and wounded as “unrealistic.”
U.S. officials have not confirmed Rezaei’s claims.
Iran has also not released official figures on the number of its own military casualties sustained during the recent fighting with the United States.
