KABUL: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has said that construction of a major cement factory, with an investment of $143 million, will begin tomorrow in Zindajan district of Herat province.
The ministry said that the factory will be constructed by Gulbahar Cement Company.
According to the ministry, the factory is expected to become operational after approximately two years and will have a production capacity of 3,000 tonnes of cement per day.
