KABUL: The High Commission for Addressing Refugee Issues says that 298 Afghan migrant families, comprising 1,505 people, entered and were registered in Afghanistan through various routes over the past 24 hours.
According to a statement from the commission, 323 families, comprising 1,688 individuals, were transported from Torkham, Spin Boldak, and Kabul to various provinces, with approximately 1.49 million Afghanis spent on transportation.
Meanwhile, a total of 2.38 million Afghanis in cash assistance was provided to 321 returning families as well as the migrants, who also received healthcare, food, telecommunications and public-awareness services.
The report further states that residential plots were distributed to 860 returning families in Nangarhar, Faryab, Samangan and Nimroz provinces.
With this latest distribution, the total number of residential plots allocated to returning families has reached 66,777.
