KABUL: The Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce says the Afghanistan-Iran Business Connectivity Conference was held with the participation of Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, Iran’s Minister of Agriculture, Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, and representatives of the private sectors of both countries.
Officials from the chamber said the two sides emphasized facilitating visas for traders and investors, improving transit and transportation, reducing trade costs, facilitating financial transactions, and establishing mechanisms to address traders’ problems.
Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, said neighboring and regional countries are a priority in Afghanistan’s economic relations, adding that stronger economic ties between Afghanistan and Iran would benefit not only the two countries but the wider region.
Iran’s Agriculture Minister, Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, also said Iran is committed to expanding and strengthening relations with Afghanistan and creating greater opportunities for the private sectors of both countries.
