Turkey urges U.S. to pressure Israel to implement Gaza peace plan

KABUL: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has called on the United States to exert pressure on Israel to implement the Gaza peace plan and stop displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at a press conference in Egypt, Fidan said that despite efforts by mediating countries to establish peace in Gaza, Israel continues to take actions that undermine the peace process rather than moving toward an agreement.

The Turkish foreign minister also called for serious measures to ensure the implementation of the agreed stages of the Gaza peace plan.

Fidan stressed that the future of Gaza is not only linked to stability in the Middle East but could also have broader consequences for global stability.
