Hanafi stressed the importance of safeguarding prisoners’ rights and treating them appropriately, saying no prison official should mistreat prisoners or subject them to violence or treatment contrary to humanitarian principles.
He also called for addressing prisoners’ concerns, speeding up the review of their cases, and providing the necessary facilities to improve their conditions.
