KABUL: An Afghan business delegation in Tehran held talks with Qadir Qiafeh, deputy head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, on expanding trade and economic relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
The Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce and Investment said Qiafeh welcomed the Afghan delegation and described the exchange of businesspeople and trade delegations between the two countries as important for strengthening economic and commercial ties.
Mahmoud Seyadat, head of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, also provided information on the exchange of business delegations and emphasized the need to expand cooperation, particularly in agriculture, industry, and other economic sectors.
Meanwhile, Kamaluddin Tawhid, head of the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber, called on Iranian companies and investors to capitalize on Afghanistan’s economic opportunities and invest across various sectors.
Both sides stressed the need to strengthen economic cooperation, facilitate the movement of business delegations, and create more opportunities for expanding trade and investment between the two countries.
