Rezaei: Iran will not negotiate with U.S. until its conditions are met

KABUL: Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has reiterated that Tehran will not enter new negotiations with the United States until its conditions are met.

Rezaei described U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements about negotiations with Iran as “contradictory,” saying Tehran should not be influenced by Washington’s conflicting messages.

He stressed that no negotiations with the United States would take place until Iran implements its conditions.

Iranian officials have repeatedly expressed a similar position in recent days.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has also called on the United States to return to the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, saying Tehran would be ready to implement its own commitments if Washington fulfills its obligations.
