KABUL: Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi met with U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Iran’s state media has confirmed.
Iran’s state broadcaster, IRIB, said the meeting took place at Witkoff’s request.
According to the report, Araghchi reiterated Iran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
The conditions include an immediate end to the naval blockade, the release of Iran’s frozen assets, and an end to the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
