KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump during his address to the United Nations General Assembly, said that “I am a man of peace, but I warn Iran of destruction”.
During his roughly 35-minute speech, Trump defended U.S. military actions and interventions abroad, saying his administration’s strong actions had made the world safer.
He stressed that the United States uses its military power to protect its global interests and said strength is a key tool for safeguarding U.S. national interests.
Trump’s remarks come as the U.S. midterm elections approach, with the president seeking to explain his administration’s foreign policy and position on international conflicts to American voters.
