KABUL: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that a long march against the Pakistani government will definitely take place on October 4, with participants remaining unarmed and peaceful.
Speaking at a press conference, Afridi accused the Pakistani government of economic mismanagement and corruption, adding that the country’s economic growth had fallen to 2.3%, its debt had exceeded 99 trillion Pakistani rupees, and 44.5% of the population was living below the poverty line.
He warned that any action against the protesters would provoke a reaction from the people.
Afridi stressed that the march would be peaceful and said that if any harmful object were found among the participants, it would be handed over to the police.
