LASHKAR GAH: Five people were reportedly martyred and three others injured in an airstrike by Pakistani aircraft in Chogam Dara in Shultan district of Afghanistan’s eastern Kunar province, according to local sources.
The sources said the strike was carried out at around 3 a.m. Thursday and targeted a civilian home in the area.
Women and children were among those reportedly martyred and injured, the sources said. However, local authorities have not yet released official information on the casualties or details of the attack.
The report comes after Pakistani forces also carried out airstrikes in Helmand province, but the exact number of casualties from the strikes in Helmand was not immediately available.
