LASHKAR GAH: Four civilians were martyred and eight others wounded in Pakistani airstrikes on Garmser district of Helmand province, local officials said.
Hafiz Abdul Bari Rashid, head of the Information and Culture Department in Helmand, said Pakistani aircraft targeted three locations in the Safaar area of Garmser at around 3:30 a.m.
According to him, two homes and a site used for Eid prayers were among the locations targeted in which four women and children were martyred and eight others were wounded when one of the houses was struck.
Following the attacks, security officials and local residents went to the affected area and transported the wounded to the nearest health facility for treatment, according to the official.
