KABUL: Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif says many government officials have migrated to Canada, the United States, and Britain in recent years and obtained permanent residency there.
In a post on X, Asif said some of the officials had planned to leave the country and settle abroad while serving in government positions, raising questions about their national commitment.
His remarks come as insecurity in Pakistan has recently spread to the capital, Islamabad, fueling concerns over a further deterioration in the country’s security situation.
