TEHRAN: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Embassy based in Tehran, the capital of Iran, visited the family of Sayed Mahdi and provided financial assistance to them, said the embassy in a statement.
According to the statement, officials of the embassy said that they have given one thousand U.S. dollars to the family of Sayed Mahdi for his treatment.
Sayed Mahdi’s family said that his body and hands were injured.
The Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tehran has assured for providing more assistance to this family.
A few days ago, a video went viral on social media in which an Afghan refugee was being tortured and the Iranian police beat him to death.
The 15-year-old youth was named Sayed Mahdi, who was beaten and seriously injured by public order police in Damavand city, Iran.
This video has aroused the sympathy and anger of many social media users.
