KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, in a meeting with the with members of the Ulama Council of Nimroz province said that after decades of conflict, reconstruction and development opportunities have now been provided in the country, his office said in a statement today.
According to the statement, speaking at the meeting, Baradar added that various projects are currently underway across different sectors, which have significantly improved living conditions compared to the past.
Mullah Baradar said that after over four decades of war and instability there is now an opportunity for national development, though many inherited problems remain.
According to the statement, the scholars praised the improved security in the country and emphasized that the people of Nimroz are committed to supporting and adhering to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with all their strength and resources.
They shared some issues including extending electricity to remote districts, ensuring access to clean drinking water, strengthening telecommunications networks, and expanding telecommunications coverage in remote areas with the deputy PM and asked the leadership of the Islamic Emirate to pay necessary attention in this regard.
Meanwhile, Beradar assured them that their proposed issues will be addressed by the relevant ministries with the available resources.
