KABUL: The North Korean state news agency reported that the country has recently tested new cruise and ballistic missiles.
The missile test took place in the presence of Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea, said the agency adding that the tested missiles reportedly include modified cruise missiles and ballistic missiles equipped with large warheads.
Kim Jong Un emphasized that these missile tests are essential for the country to counter external threats.
Despite facing severe sanctions from Western countries due to its missile programs, North Korea continues to conduct missile tests periodically.
