KABUL: According to Pakistani media, a Pakistani counter-terrorism court on Monday issued arrest warrants for 95 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, and Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, former President Arif Alvi and former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser are also included in the list of individuals to be arrested.
The arrest warrants for these PTI members were issued following violent protests that occurred last week in Pakistan.
Reports indicate that these warrants are non-bailable, meaning that those arrested will not be able to secure release even on bail.
It is worth mentioning that protests by thousands of PTI supporters demanding the release of Imran Khan from prison collapsed overnight last week, with hundreds of demonstrators arrested and detained by police.
