KABUL: The Ministry of Water and Energy said in a statement on Wednesday that four development projects valued at over 20.4 million Afghanis have been completed in Panjshir Province.
The projects include the reinforcement of the banks at Safedar Bagh in the Shatil district, a retaining wall and drainage for the village of Noycha in the Dara district, a retaining wall and drainage for the village of Tawakh, and the reinforcement of the village of Pay-Chinar in the Rukha district of Panjshir.
According to the statement, the total cost of these projects amounts to 20,448,000 Afghanis, funded by the Ministry of Water and Energy.
During the implementation of the projects, job opportunities have been provided for dozens of residents of the respective districts of the province. With the completion of these projects, hundreds of acres of agricultural land have been protected from the risks of flooding and water erosion.
