Twenty tons of sugar arrived in Afghanistan from UAE via railway

KABUL: A shipment of 20 tons of sugar has arrived in Afghanistan from the United Arab Emirates, the Herat governor’s press office said in a statement today.

According to the statement, the cargo includes six wagons of cement from Iran and 20 wagons of sugar from the UAE, which arrived in the province via the Khaf-Herat railway.

The Herat governor’s office has expressed its commitment to facilitating traders with the transportation of goods through the railway system.

This development comes as the transfer of commercial goods via railway between Afghanistan and neighboring countries continues to increase day by day.
