Over 22,000 tons of fruits worth over $16 million exported from Herat in nine months

HERAT: The Herat provincial officials in Herat said that, in the first nine months of the current year (1404), 22,024 tons of fresh fruit were exported from this province to foreign countries.

According to a statement from the media office of the Herat governor on Sunday, the total value of the fresh fruit exported from Herat province amounted to $16,333,692.

The statement stated: “The exported fruits include various products sent to different countries, and this level of export has played a significant role in boosting the economy and increasing the income of farmers.”

Local officials in Herat expressed hope that with the provision of more facilities, the volume of exports will increase in the future.

Afghanistan is known for its diverse fruits, which gain particular recognition in the region during different seasons.
