MoIC: Widespread public participation on 24 Asad disproved rumors of separation between government and people

KABUL: The Ministry of Information and Culture says that nationwide commemorations of the 24 Asad (Conquest of Afghanistan, the end of occupation, and the country’s independence day) were held with broad public participation and in an organized manner across the country.
In a statement, the ministry said that at ceremonies held in Kabul and the provinces to mark the fifth anniversary of the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, emphasis was placed on the people’s struggles, independence, security and stability, national unity, and the importance of developing and advancing the country.
The ministry further added that the wide public turnout refuted rumors claiming a rift between the government and the people, and once again demonstrated that the public stands side by side with the government, and fully support it.
