KABUL: During a regular meeting of the Economic Commission chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, a plan to construct an eight-story commercial market in the Mandawi area of Kabul has been approved, with an estimated investment of 162 million Afghanis.
The office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said the market will be built on land belonging to the Ministry of Finance and will include approximately 560 shops.
According to the statement, the fifth section of the Badghis ring road project was also discussed.
The meeting decided that the project contract should be referred to the Procurement Commission for further consideration due to deficiencies in the contractor’s work.
