KABUL: Mawlavi Rahmatullah Makki, CEO of Afghan Post, and his accompanying delegation, has met with the Indian Postal Department’s Deputy Director General for Foreign Relations and International Business.
According to a statement issued during the 14th Congress of the Asia-Pacific Postal Union (APPU), the officials discussed expanding postal services, sharing experiences and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to improve the quality and scope of postal services, enhance the professional skills of employees, expand e-commerce, facilitate direct transit shipments, and cooperate in various other areas of postal services.
The officials reached agreements on several issues during the meeting, with further talks expected to be held soon to finalize the agreed points and reach a final understanding.
