KABUL: Ibrahim Kalin, head of Turkey’s intelligence agency, and his accompanying delegation have met with Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, Afghanistan’s defense minister, to discuss bilateral and regional security issues.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, the meeting focused on expanding relations between Afghanistan and Turkey, security issues, and regional security and stability.
The two sides also emphasized strengthening security and defense cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkey, according to the statement.
Kalin had earlier met with Mawlavi Abdul Haq Wasiq, head of Afghanistan’s intelligence agency, during his visit to the country.
