KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement today that Kazakhstan has provided a humanitarian aid shipment of 3.5 tons of medicine and medical supplies to Afghanistan.
According to the statement, the plane carrying the medical supplies landed at Kabul International Airport this morning, accompanied by a high-level Kazakh delegation led by Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The delegation was welcomed by Nooruddin Aziz, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, who also held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Zhumangarin and his accompanying team.
The delegation is set to participate in the Afghan-Kazakh Business Forum in Kabul tomorrow, where opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, and transit will be discussed.
It is noteworthy that Kazakhstan has recently delivered around 3,000 tons of humanitarian aid, including food and non-food items, to Afghanistan.
