KABUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has welcomed a deal reached between the United States and Iran, calling it an important step toward strengthening peace and stability in the region.
Erdoğan said he hopes the agreement will help pave the way for long-term peace, security, and calm in the region and will play an effective role in reducing tensions.
He also emphasized that resolving disputes through talks and diplomacy is in the interest of regional countries and the broader international community.
The remarks come as Washington and Tehran have said they are working toward a new agreement to end the conflict and resolve some key differences.
