KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has welcomed the signing of a joint defense pact between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan, describing it as a major step toward strengthening regional security.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he was pleased with the signing of the “Mecca Joint Defense Pact”, calling the agreement as a sign of closer cooperation among regional countries and an effort to strengthen their ability to defend themselves.
He also praised the leaders of the three countries, calling the agreement a “big, bold and important step” toward expanding defense cooperation in the region.
