KABUL: The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced a 15-member Afghan Abdali squad for the 2026 Asian Games, with Darwish Rasooli named as captain.
The squad includes Darwish Rasooli, Ishaq Rahimi, Hassan Eisakhil, Mohammad Akram, Imran Mir, Khalid Taniwal, Najibullah Zadran, Faisal Shinwari, Farman Safi, Karim Janat, Esmat Alam, Nangyal Kharoti, Arab Gul, Faridoon Dawoodzai and Abdullah Ahmadzai.
The 2026 Asian Games are scheduled to take place from late September to the first week of October in Aichi and Nagoya cites of Japan.
Afghanistan will face Japan and Nepal in the group stage of the cricket competition.
