IEA Spokesman: More than 10 million students currently studying across Afghanistan

KABUL: Islamic Emirate spokesperson Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid has said that more than 10 million students are currently studying at various educational institutions across Afghanistan.

Speaking at the fourth press conference of the “Government in the Media Mirror” program, Mujahid said 238 educational centers have been renovated across the country, while more than 2 million students are studying in religious madrasas.

According to Mujahid, more than 93,000 people have been provided with literacy education, while around 38,000 public and private schools and educational centers are currently operating across Afghanistan.

He also said that thousands of training seminars have been organized in various fields to strengthen the professional capacity of teachers and employees of relevant educational institutions.
